Dr Hatem gained his MD at the University of Liverpool in 2006 following two years’ research into "Postpartum haemorrhage". He is an Associate Professor and Consultant Specialist of Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at University Hospital of Leicester, United Kingdom. He is a subspecialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, specializing in scanning women and babies with complications in pregnancy. Dr Mousa is the Obstetric research Lead at The University Hospital of Leicester, he is the lead for the Fetal Medicine Unit at Leicester Hospital, the referral unit for the East Midlands Region, and also cares for women with low-risk pregnancies. He is a Cochrane and Childbirth Reviewer, and he has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research papers in medical journals. He has been awarded many research prizes and grants. His main research interest focuses on maternal well-being during pregnancy and its impact on fetal health.
