Dr. Ahmad graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI in 2005 and then trained in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital for one year. Prior to this he completed a Master's Degree with a thesis titled "Dietary Prevention of Prostate Cancer”. As Dr. Ahmad was interested in oncology and in particular radiation oncology, he then started training at Wayne State University/Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, MI specializing in radiation oncology. This four year program culminated in his graduation in 2010. He is board certified in radiation oncology. Dr. Ahmad is currently the Medical Director of Oncology and Radiation Oncology at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL, United States. During his time at OSF, Dr. Ahmad has brought many advancements to the program including stereotactic body radiation, radionuclide therapy, and American College of Radiology certification for the program. Dr. Ahmad is also a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford and he has several publications and abstracts in the field of radiation oncology.
