Mr Dawas graduated from the University of Cambridge and trained in London, Australia and Oxford.

Mr Khaled Dawas is a specialist Gastrointestinal surgeon with specific expertise in diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and gall bladder. He is Head of Service at University College London Hospitals, one of the centralised caner hospitals in London. Mr Dawas also has responsibility for training and education within his division. On the academic front he supervises MSc students at UCL, lectures on FRCS exam courses and MSc programmes.

He has been a Lecturer at University of London since 2007 and at the University of Cambridge since 2009. His research interests focus on the importance of nutrition and fitness during treatment for cancer.
