Alireza Abidi, M.D. is a highly accomplished medical professional specializing in Gynecologic Oncology. Currently, he serves as the Director of Gynecologic Oncology services at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center in Riverside, CA. He has held this position since August 2008. In addition to his directorship, he also holds positions as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California Riverside and a Visiting Professor at Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran.

Dr. Abidi’s educational journey began at Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Science in Tehran, Iran, where he earned his Doctorate from 1990 to 1997. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale New Haven University in Bridgeport, CT from 2001 to 2005. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California, Davis in Sacramento, CA from 2005 to 2008.

Over the years, Dr. Abidi has held numerous positions in various medical institutions. These include roles such as Director of Claims office at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center, Associate Physician at the University of California, Davis, and Resident at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale New Haven School of Medicine. He also served as a Primary Care Physician in Shahryar, Iran.

Dr. Abidi is a recipient of several awards and honors that recognize his contributions to the field. These include multiple Resident of the Quarter Awards and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedure Awards from Bridgeport Hospital Yale New Haven University. He has also received research grants from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UC Davis for his work on cervical cancer patients and endometrial cancers.

Dr. Abidi is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (2008) and Gynecologic Oncology (2012). He is an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy, and Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
