Dr. Abdelaziz graduated in medicine from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and completed postgraduate training in general and pediatric surgery at Alexandria University Hospitals. He later undertook pediatric surgical training supported by the German Academic Exchange Service at University Medical Center Mainz, Germany. He holds an MD from Alexandria University, MRCSEd, and German specialist qualifications in pediatric surgery and general surgery.

He progressed from resident to senior physician in pediatric surgery at Alexandria University Hospitals, where he also contributed to medical student teaching and surgical training. After relocating to Germany, he worked at University Medical Center Mainz and hospitals in Ludwigshafen, Worms, Viernheim, Heilbronn, and Braunschweig before assuming senior pediatric surgery and pediatric urology responsibilities in Paderborn. He now practices at Helios Klinikum Salzgitter, Germany.

His clinical work focuses on complex pediatric and neonatal surgery, particularly minimally invasive pediatric urology and reconstruction of congenital urinary tract anomalies. At St. Vincenz-Kliniken in Paderborn, he helped expand pediatric urology services to include renal pelvis and ureteric procedures and contributed to the operative care of premature and newborn infants with complex conditions. His peer-reviewed research includes thoracoscopic ligation of an H-type tracheoesophageal fistula in a newborn.

He has served in senior surgical roles, supported the training of junior surgeons, and contributed to multidisciplinary pediatric surgical care in Egypt and Germany. His professional memberships include the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, the German Society for Pediatric Surgery, the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the Egyptian Pediatric Surgical Association, the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group, and the British Medical Association.
