Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Asimakopoulos is active in teaching and surgical training. He serves as an educational supervisor for adult cardiac surgery trainees, supervises medical students, and sits on selection and interview panels for national cardiothoracic surgical trainee recruitment. His research interests include aortic dissection, sutureless aortic valve replacement, and training in cardiac surgery.
