Dr. Monte Sean Meltzer completed earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. After completing his medical education, Dr. Meltzer worked as a Staff Associate in the Immunology Section of the Viral Leukemia and Lymphoma Branch at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Monte Sean Meltzer completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.
After completing his medical education, Dr. Meltzer began his career as an intern in the Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He then worked as a Staff Associate in the Immunology Section of the Viral Leukemia and Lymphoma Branch at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Meltzer continued his work at the National Cancer Institute as a Staff Associate in the Tumor Antigen Section of the Biology Branch. He then became a Senior Investigator in the Immunopathology Section of the Laboratory of Immunobiology in the Immunology Program at the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Meltzer's career also included serving as the Director of the Program for Nonspecific Immunity against Infectious Disease in the Division of Communicable Diseases at the National Cancer Institute from 1983 to 1993. He has received several awards and honors for his research in leukocyte biology and clinical research and teaching.
