He began his medical journey at Chengalpattu Medical College, University of Madras, India, where he obtained his MD degree. He later pursued a Master of Science in Microbiology at Montana State University before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital/Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, USA. Driven by a strong commitment to medical advancement, Prof. Siva went on to complete a fellowship in Rheumatology at the esteemed St. Louis Veterans Affairs Medical Center, affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
With more than 30 years of expertise, Prof. Siva currently serves as Professor of Clinical Medicine within the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. His academic career includes several prestigious appointments, including Program Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program and Co-Director of the Gordon C. Sharp Antinuclear Antibody Laboratory at the University of Missouri Health Care. His expertise also extends beyond clinical practice through his joint faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences.
