This was followed by a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology under the mentorship of world renowned experts at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. He undertook an observership at University Hospital Colorado, USA. He was then awarded a PhD from University of London following his research on Colour Vision in Diabetes.
Dr. Abdel-hay is fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. He has presented in many national and international conferences and meetings.
