"Dr Elgohary is a consultant ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery at Kingston Hospital. He completed his fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital and also trained in pediatric ophthalmology and pediatric vitreoretinal disorders at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada. He completed his residency training on the the North Thames London Deanery program that included rotation between Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford and Moorfields Eye Hospital and University College London Hospitals, London. Mr Elgohary has special interest in diabetic eye disease and complications, macular hole repair, retinal detachment and complex or complicated cataract surgery e.g. traumatic cataract and in uveitis patients. Mr Elgohary has an interest in teaching, and lectures regularly to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at UCL as well as at different national and international meetings. He also has published several research papers in the field of cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery."
