Prof. Robin Hamilton undertook his medical training in St Mary’s Hospital in London, followed by a fellowship in medical retina and uveitis at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK, where he now serves as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and as the Director for the medical retina service and clinical lead for age-related macular degeneration service. Also he has been the Chair of the Laser Safety Committee since 2009. From 2008-2011 Prof. Hamilton was the Clinical lead for Ealing, Hounslow and Kingston diabetic eye screening program. And he was the Clinical director, Moorfields North, Ealing, from 2010-2016. Prof. Robin is a passionate advocate for new technologies, his research interests focus on novel laser therapies for retinal disease and innovations in clinical pathways. He is also active in the field of education and is an honorary senior lecturer in the Institute of Ophthalmology in London, UK.
