He invented and developed ultrasonic rhinoplasty (also known as piezo rhinoplasty) beginning around 2013 in collaboration with Acteon, introducing ultrasonic instruments for nasal bone sculpting in 2016. This technique allows controlled, atraumatic reshaping of the nasal pyramid with reduced bruising and faster recovery
Dr. Gerbault regularly teaches and demonstrates ultrasonic rhinoplasty worldwide, presenting at major rhinoplasty and aesthetic surgery meetings across Europe, South America, Asia, and North America .
He also published key articles and a DVD on the technique and its applications in preservation rhinoplasty and septoplasty.
He serves as Vice‑President of the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe and President of the International Rhinoplasty Research Society, while holding board membership and leadership roles in several professional societies.
