She has ongoing involvement with the Birmingham Platelet Group and is a trustee of the Platelet Society and on the Executive Committee of the UK ITP Forum. She is also the regional Haematology NIHR lead for the West Midlands Local Clinical Research Network (LCRN).
She has an interest in clinical research, and has several publications in the medical field and has built a research team in her workplace. She has organized several educational meetings, including events targeted specifically at patients and their families, and those for doctors in training.
