Doctor Giri has a wide background in medical research and has expertise in pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. He is also a consultant in pediatric obesity at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
He completed his clinical training and his doctorate research at Liverpool, which is a prestigious medical school. His research was on the genetics of rare endocrine disorders. Doctor Giri also holds a Master's degree in Genomic Medicine. Dr. Giri has a wealth of experience managing a variety of childhood hormone disorders such as growth, thyroid, pituitary, puberty, and adrenals.
His main interest is childhood obesity and he has extensive experience working at one of the leading NHS childhood obesity clinics in the UK. He leads weight management clinics that manage children and young people with complex and severe obesity.
He is the principal investigator for an ongoing clinical research trial on childhood obesity. Doctor Giri has authored a number of scholarly papers and has given presentations at various national and international conferences. He also regularly teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students.
